Frequently Asked Questions
Are our engineers qualified for commercial gas works?
Absolutely – all our lads are fully Gas Safe registered with the right commercial qualifications (not just domestic). That means they can legally work on bigger pipework, high-output boilers.
Do we offer emergency call-outs for commercial gas issues?
Yep, 24/7 – leaks, boiler breakdowns, no heat in winter, or suspected faults – we get someone out fast. Safety first: if you smell gas, evacuate and call the National Gas Emergency line (0800 111 999) immediately, then ring us for the fix.
What’s actually involved in a commercial gas safety inspection?
A thorough check by one of our qualified lads: visual inspection of appliances, flues, and pipework; testing for leaks and tightness; checking ventilation, pressure, and flue gases; plus a full report. If all good, you get your certificate. We aim to do it with minimal disruption to your business.
How often should commercial gas appliances be serviced?
At least once a year by law (under the Gas Safety Regulations 1998). We recommend an annual service plus certificate to catch issues early, boost efficiency, and avoid breakdowns – especially for busy commercial boilers or kitchen kit that gets hammered daily.
What happens if my commercial gas system fails a safety check?
We'll explain exactly what's wrong, give you options to fix it (repairs, replacements, or upgrades), and only issue the certificate once everything's sorted and safe. We can often do remedial work on the spot or schedule it quick to minimise business disruption.
How can I tell if my commercial gas engineer is properly qualified?
Always check they're on the Gas Safe Register (you can search online or ask for their ID card). For commercial work, they need specific commercial quals – not just domestic ones. Our team are all fully Gas Safe.
